Honeycomb Maps: Now Available to Everyone
Summary
Honeycomb Maps is now available to everyone at app.honeycombmaps.com!
Honeycomb Maps’ goal is to help people with data share it on a map - whether you’re a researcher studying home prices, a citizen sharing a map of 311 incidents with the city council, or a business analyst identifying profitable markets.
With our new offering on the web, we build on our existing Snowflake Native App, which will continue to be our flagship solution for enterprises in the Snowflake ecosystem.
A free tier for individuals
We are excited to offer a free tier designed for individual use. All map features are available with the free tier, and maps can be easily shared with a link. There are no limits on the amount of maps you create, or the number of times those maps are viewed (we do reserve the right to limit usage to ensure platform stability, but otherwise we want your maps to be viewed as much as possible!)
Our intent is to always keep this free for students, individual researchers, and citizens making maps.
Business plans with private sharing and database connections
For teams, we offer a business plan that enables map sharing within an organization, as well as the ability to connect to data warehouses including BigQuery, Databricks, and Snowflake and use them as live-updating data sources for your maps.
Maps can be shared within teams, or with customers and clients, while keeping data secure.
We are still finalizing the onboarding process and pricing for the business plan, so if you are interested please contact me at carston@honeycombmaps.com.
