2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

We do not use your uploaded data to train machine learning models, and we do not sell your data.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or uploaded data to third parties.

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

4.1 Infrastructure and Service Providers

We use third-party infrastructure providers to host and operate the Service, including:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting, data storage, and Amazon Cognito for authentication

These providers may process your information solely to the extent necessary to provide their services to us and are subject to their own privacy policies.

4.4 Business Transfers

If Maps and Data LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change by posting a notice on the Service.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers operated by Amazon Web Services in the United States. We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot and do not guarantee the absolute security of your data. You use the Service and upload data at your own risk. Please see our Terms of Use for additional details regarding disclaimers and limitation of liability.

6. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a security breach that results in the unauthorized access, acquisition, or disclosure of your personal information, we will comply with all applicable breach notification laws, including applicable U.S. state notification statutes.

Where required by law, we will notify affected users of a qualifying breach within the timeframes mandated by applicable law. Notification may be provided via email to the address associated with your account, through a prominent notice posted on the Service, or by other means as required by applicable law.

The notification will include, to the extent known at the time: a description of the nature of the breach, the types of information involved, the steps we are taking in response, and any steps you can take to protect yourself.

Nothing in this section shall be construed as an acknowledgment that any particular breach has occurred or will occur, or as expanding our liability beyond what is set forth in the Terms of Use.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information and uploaded data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to delete your data within a reasonable time period, though residual copies may persist in backups or logs for a limited time.
